Class of 2028 - Girls

Portia Reisen

Class of 2028 | 5'8" Combo Guard | Fort Erie  Academy – Canada
Canadian U16 Women’s National Team Assessment Camp Invitee

Portia Reisen is a poised and promising young combo guard who plays beyond her years. After earning significant varsity minutes as a freshman at Fort Erie International Academy, Reisen has already shown that she belongs on the court with older, more experienced players. Heading into her sophomore season in 2025–26, she’s a player to watch in Canada’s emerging talent pool.

What stands out most about Reisen is her composure under pressure. Whether it’s late-game situations or defending full court, she rarely looks rattled. She handles the ball confidently with both hands and operates well in tight spaces, showing maturity as a decision-maker and facilitator. Her ability to maintain control and create plays makes her a steadying presence in the backcourt.

Reisen is also a reliable shooter with a smooth stroke from beyond the arc and in mid-range situations. She can space the floor, knock down spot-up threes, and is comfortable pulling up off the dribble. Her shot selection is disciplined, and her offensive game is balanced between scoring and setting up teammates.

Defensively, she brings intensity and awareness. She moves well laterally and communicates on the floor, which makes her a valuable perimeter defender. Her commitment to doing the little things — boxing out, rotating, hustling for loose balls — reflects her team-first mentality and high basketball IQ.
